Ökenstjärna Pachypodium lamerei Ökenstjärnan är ett suckulent träd från familjen oleanderväxter. I naturen växer ökenstjärnan i öknen och har därför en tjock stam för att kunna suga upp mycket vatten. Trädet kan växa upp till tre meter, stammen grenar sig senare. Ökenstjärnans vetenskapliga namn är Pachypodium lamerei, som på grekiska översätts till tjock fot. Artnamnet lamerei nämnt efter La Mere
