Studien utfördes med anledning av en ökande popularitet av att hålla höns inom tätbebyggt område. Syftet med studien var att ta fram en riskprofil för urban hönshållning. En enkätundersökning genomfördes vid olika myndigheter för att utreda hur hanteringen av ärendena gällande urban hönshållning såg ut samt för att identifiera risker. Riskerna karakteriserades och värderades sedan i en riskanalys.
