Swedish registers to examine drug safety and clinical issues in RA

Data from several different monitoring systems are examined. The potential for registers based on data obtained from clinical practice, and linkage of such data to national health and population registers, is discussed. The approach described is a possible prototype for long term surveillance systems needed for the safe introduction of new treatments.

Tracking taphonomy. Analysis of skeletal remains from wild boar (Sus scrofa) and red deer (Cervus elaphus) from Mesolithic sites in Scania, Southern Sweden

This study is an effort to describe and analyse the taphonomic history of skeletal remains of wild boar (Sus scrofa) and red deer (Cervus elaphus) from six Mesolithic sites. Five methods have been used to analyse the effect of different taphonomic processes. A positive correlation between bone element frequency (%MAU) and structural bone density in all but one bone sample (Segebro) indicates high

Rate of heat release measurements with the Swedish box test

Abstract The Swedisn box apparatus was modified to include an oxygen analysis of the exhaust gases to be compared with the conventional exhaust gas temperature measurement. A slow-burning material shows good correlation between the temperature measurement and the rate of heat release. A fast-burning material, however, consumes all the available oxygen, and the temperature measurement becomes a mea

An integrated analysis of ergonomics and time consumption in Swedish "craft-type' car disassembly

Car disassembly is at the edge of extensive rationalisations due to increased legislative demands for recycling. This study focused on (1) assessing Current mechanical exposures (physical work loads) for comparison with future rationalised systems, with particular emphasis on time aspects, (2) analysing disassembly work in terms of time consumption and exposures in constituent tasks as defined by
