Vid varje besök på TEDDY tas ett blodprov på deltagaren. Eftersom blodet ska användas till olika analyser behövs flera olika provrör. Provet tas därför venöst, det vill säga från ett kärl i armvecket. Första gången TEDDY-deltagaren lämnade blodprov var han/hon cirka 4 månader gammal.
