Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein

Commemorating the 200th Anniversary of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein

English Studies at SOL is participating in an international celebration of the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. Under the auspices of the Frankenreads initiative of the Keats-Shelly Association of America, partner institutions are holding events throughout the world. SOL's contribution, organized by Professor Cian Duffy, is a panel of lectures on 31 October 2018 (Halloween!) featuring Birgitta Berglund, Cian Duffy and Ellen Turner of Lund University and Shannon Sauro of Malmö University. Learn more about Mary Shelley, the context of Frankenstein, and fandom. There will also be a reading from the novel. The event is free and open to the public. All are welcome!
