Electric Traction Machine Design for an E-RWD Unit
Popular Abstract in English Since the first generation of the Toyota Prius was first introduced in December 1997, the number of Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) and pure Electric Vehicles (EVs) available in the market has increased substantially, and nowadays almost every car manufacturer has at least one HEV or even EV model within their range. The reason behind this trend relies on the increased Since the first generation of the Toyota Prius was introduced in December 1997, the number of Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) and pure Electric Vehicles (EVs) available in the market has increased substantially. The growing competition existent puts high demands on the electric system as well as the rest of the vehicle. As a consequence, substantial design effort is devoted to optimize both at sys

In-plane Wetting in Packaging Material and its Consequences for Cap Performance
Denna typ av förpackningar kallas för aseptiska och de gör transport och förvaAseptic packaging solutions enable long time storage without refrigeration and are an important part of securing food supply globally. The package material consists of multiple layers: A paperboard for robustness, polymers for adhesion as well as shielding the board from liquid, and a barrier protecting the product. This thesis consists of two parts regarding in-plane wetting into the paperboard.

The causation of hydrogen embrittlement of duplex stainless steel : Phase instability of the austenite phase and ductile-to-brittle transition of the ferrite phase – Synergy between experiments and modelling
Various mechanisms have been proposed for hydrogen embrittlement of duplex stainless steel, but the causation of hydrogen-induced material degradation has remained unclear. This work shows that phase instability (decomposition) of the austenite phase and ductile-to-brittle transition of the ferrite phase precedes hydrogen embrittlement. In-situ diffraction measurements revealed that Ni-rich sites

Hydrogenation of CO2 to Methanol by a Nickel Pincer Catalyst and Mechanistic Investigations by Density Functional Theory Studies
The hydrogenation of CO2 into methanol by a nickel pincer catalyst has been studied in both aqueous and solid–gas phases. Hydrogenation occurs at the moderate temperatures of 60–95 °C. The solid–gas phase reaction is found to be more efficient than the aqueous reaction. At 95 °C and 1 MPa of H2/CO2 (3:1), 18 μmol of methanol is generated in the optimized solid–gas phase reaction versus 10 μmol in
Xenergic
Xenergic is developing technology intended to reduce electricity consumption by more than half in certain types of memory circuits, with the aim of prolonging battery life in connected products. The technology deals with a new type of SRAM memory developed at the Department of Electrical and Information Technology at Lund University’s Faculty of Engineering. SRAM is a type of computer memory whic

The effect of guanosine tetraphosphate (ppGpp) on HypB mediated hydrogenase maturation
Potential drug to reduce bacterial survival Recently there has been an increase in common bacterial infections being tolerant to available antibiotics, thus leading to a possible health crisis. Bacteria has developed tolerance through a small molecule called ppGpp, which is highly produced during a stress response (e.g., antibiotics). This molecule is responsible for the shutdown of a variety of
