En policys färd : Undersökandet av implementeringen av en utbildningspolicy inom högre utbildning

This paper is a part of a larger project where we longitudinally (over seven years) analyze the implementation process of a policy instigating written assessment criteria for all courses in a traditional university faculty. The overarching question is: How does educational policy influence educational practice? The project adhere to a complex perspective on implementation (Gornitzka et al., 2005) a

Characterization of the Combustion of Light Alcohols in CI Engines : Performance, Combustion Characteristics and Emissions

Alternative fuels for combustion engines are becoming increasingly popular as society is pushing to phase out fossil energy to reduce CO2 emissions. The compression ignition (CI) engine has a high overall efficiency which makes it a valuable option for the transport fleet, despite the well known NOx and soot pollutants it emits. These two pollutants are emitted due to a combination of high local c

Towards best practice recommendations for turbulence modelling of high-pressure homogenizer outlet chambers – Numerical validation using DNS data

There is a large interest in predicting high-pressure homogenizer (HPH) valve hydrodynamics using CFD, in academic research and industrial R&D. Most of these studies still use two-equation RANS turbulence models, whereas only a few have used LES formulations. From a theoretical perspective, LES is known to be more accurate than RANS, especially in terms of estimating the dissipation rate of tu
