Alla barn har rätt till en grundläggande utbildning. Det är en mänsklig rät-tighet som stadgas i exempelvis barnkonventionen. Forskning visar att sko-lan är en bra skyddsfaktor, en fungerande skolgång minskar risken att hamna i ogynnsamma förhållanden, exempelvis kriminalitet.
