Crystals of Pt(DMSO)4(TFMS)2 have been prepared by dissolution of platinum(II) hydroxide in a solution of CF3SO3H in DMSO and subsequent evaporation. The structure was determined by use of a CAD-4 diffractometer with monochromatic Mo Kα radiation.
