This paper, inspired by the writings of Mats Roslund, discusses the use of archaeological materials that were once collected without proper excavation and documentation techniques. The case study used is the material from the moats at the castle Glimmingehus, collected when the moats were emptied in the years 1935–1937. By today’s standards, the material has major shortcomings regarding documentat

Digging for Roots : Perceptions of Secularity and Biblical Assemblages in the 1957–58 Public Debate on Women’s Ordination in Sweden

This article aims to ‘dig for the roots’ of the entanglement between secularity and the Bible in Sweden. By employing the concepts “religionization” and “biblical assemblages,” this study identifies and analyzes the interplay between perceptions of secularity and the Bible in the public debate on women’s ordination in the Church of Sweden (CofS) in the 1950s – a crucial decade in the secularizatioThis article aims to ‘dig for the roots’ of the entanglement between secularity and the Bible in Sweden.

Därför krävs det lösningar och åtgärder i byggprocessen för att reducera utsläppen och därefter nå målet om nettonollutsThe construction and real estate sector accounted for 22,1% of Sweden’s total greenhouse gasemissions in 2022, with the production of building materials and extraction of fossil fuels contributing for a large part of the emissions. At the same time, Sweden faces a national climate goal to become climate neutral by the year 2045. Therefore, solutions and measures are required in the constructio

Stories Telling Worlds: Queer Worldmaking in the Vernacular

Ett fokus på berättande praktiker tillåter mig att spåra hur berättelser formas och förmedlas inom bredare kulturella kontexter genom situeAiming to understand practices of queer worldmaking – a world counter to hegemonic heteronormativity – my thesis brings together living and moving archives of autoethnography, interviews, and films to develop a cultural analysis. A focus on storytelling allows me to trace how stories are shaped and communicated within broader cultural contexts through situated and everyday acts of telling stories.

Civic Governmentality and Its Discontents : Rethinking Agency, Resilience, and the Reconfiguration of INGOs in India

I kontrast till dominerande narrativ som fThis thesis interrogates the contemporary unmaking of civil society in India through the analytic of civic governmentality, arguing that the crisis of civic space is not merely a story of repression but of the deeper remaking of civic subjectivity under conditions of authoritarian neoliberal rule. Against narratives that cast international non-governmental organisations (INGOs) as either heroic re

The Synergistic Effects of Climate Change and Human Activities on Runoff and Sediment Transport Changes of the Yellow River in China

Understanding the synergistic impacts of climate change and human activities on runoff and sediment dynamics is crucial for sustainable watershed management in the Yellow River Basin. This study examined hydrological variations in the Helong section of the Chinese Loess Plateau from 1980 to 2020. The Mann?Kendall and Pettitt tests were used to detect trends and abrupt changes in precipitation, run

Normalizing flows are capable models for bi-manual visuomotor policy

The field of general-purpose robotics has recently embraced powerful probabilistic diffusion-based models to learn the complex embodiment behaviours. However, existing models often come with significant trade-offs, namely high computational costs for inference and a fundamental inability to quantify output uncertainty. We introduce Normalizing Flows Policy (NF-P), a conditional normalizing flow-ba

Medieval highly decorated redware from Lund and Roskilde : A comparison

Among historians and archaeologists, the medieval towns of Roskilde and Lund have been perceived as almost twin towns. Both were founded in the late 10th century, with bishop’s seats established in the 11th century. Both quickly rose to become the most politically, economically, and culturally important ecclesiastical centres in southern Scandinavia, with similar urban landscapes dominated by nume

Towards Trustworthy Machine Learning in High-Stakes Decision Making

The reliable integration of Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) into safety-critical settings requires guarantees that extend beyond empirical accuracy. Despite strong prediction performance, DNNs remain vulnerable to adversarial perturbations, information leakage, and disparities across different populations. Addressing these limitations demands scalable methods for formally analyzing network behavior un

ExposoGraph : An Interactive Platform for Carcinogen Bioactivation and Detoxification Pathway Visualization

Despite extensive cataloging of carcinogenic exposures by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) and pharmacogenomic variation by resources such as PharmVar and CPIC, few platforms unify exposure, metabolic activation and detoxification, DNA damage, and genetic annotation within a single interactive visualization framework. This gap limits systematic evaluation of gene-environment

Integrated Host Genetics and Skin Microbiome Profiling Suggest an HLA-C-Peptostreptococcus Axis in Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a chronic immune-mediated disease driven by genetic susceptibility and environmental factors, including microbial exposure. While HLA-C-linked variants represent the strongest genetic risk factors, their relationship with the cutaneous microbiome remains incompletely understood. This study aimed to investigate host-microbiome interactions in psoriasis through integrative multi-omics a
