Steady-State Diffusion in Complex Amphiphilic Films
The relation between structure and diffusive transport at steady-state is investigated theoretically for amphiphilic systems. Amphiphilic systems typically show a large response to moderate changes in control parameters, such as temperature, osmotic pressure, and the presence of cosolvents and cosolutes. Such systems is therefore expected to show a local response in structure due to the transport

Enabling audio-haptics
This thesis deals with possible solutions to facilitate orientation, navigation and overview of non-visual interfaces and virtual environments with the help of sound in combination with force-feedback haptics. Applications with haptic force-feedback, sp
Themes and challenges in making freight transport sustainable
The purpose of this article is to explore themes and challenges in making freight transport sustainable out of a logistics service providers’ perspective. The approach is explorative and the main method for data collection is interviews. The study has a cross sectional design which takes advantage of nine semi-structured interviews from selected logistics service providers operating in the Scandi

Stability Analysis of Continuous-Time Adaptive Control Systems
The stability properties of a fairly general continuous-time adaptive control scheme are analyzed. Sufficient conditions for $L^\infty $-stability in the presence of disturbances are given. The stability results are used to prove convergence of the process outputs in the disturbance-free case, without requiring any a priori stability assumptions.

Joseph Beuys reconsidered
My research is about the possibility of understanding and interpreting artworks by Joseph Beuys (1921-1986) in a broader sense than is usually done before: I want to start with some actions, follow different action-tools from these, into the vitrines of the art museums. In my performative analysis there are no fixed boundaries between Beuys himself as an actor in his actions, his artworks, that is

Assessing Measurements for Feed-Forward Control
A method is presented for assessing disturbances in SISO loops. The method indicates if the SISO loop under consideration will benefit from an addition of feed forward control from a measured disturbance. The method uses minimal process knowledge and is based on measurement from normal operation.

The development and validation of a simulation tool for assessment of the use of and costs for energy in paper drying processes
This report includes a description of a newly developed simulation tool for energy mapping of different paper drying processes. The simulation tool includes models for three different types of paper dryers and for a coating station and various units used for heat recovery. The models were developed in the block oriented simulation program Extend. The Extend software is briefly described and the eq
No Need to Get Emotional? Emotions and Heuristics
Call the Dependence Thesis the popular view that values are dependent on emotions. This paper argues that the Dependence Thesis is amenable to different readings and critiques one particular reading. According to the Definitional Dependence Thesis, definitions of evaluative concepts necessarily have to appeal to emotions. By contrast, according to the Epistemic Dependence Thesis, which is the targ
