Ny stor studie – användning av antibiotika inom intensivvården

En stor internationell studie (BLING III) ska undersöka bästa sättet att ge en viss antibiotika till svårt infektionssjuka i intensivvården. Målet är att få evidens för optimerad antibiotikabehandling och därigenom minska dödstalen till följd av sepsis. Lunds Fernströmpris för forskning om proteinernas samspel

Årets Eric K. Fernströms pris till yngre, särskilt lovande och framgångsrika forskare vid Lunds universitet tilldelas i år professor Johan Malmström. Han får utmärkelsen och priset på 100 000 kronor för sitt världsledande arbete inom proteomik, ett forskningsområde där man på en storskalig nivå kartlägger proteiners funktion och struktur för att bättre förstå vad som sker vid sjukdomar i kroppen.

Arbetsmiljöproblem åtgärdade

Vid en inspektion i december 2018 uppmärksammade Arbetsmiljöverket att det funnits brister i arbetsmiljöarbetet gällande allvarliga händelser av hot i verksamheten på Medicinsk fakulteten.
