Hormoner kopplas till åderförkalkning – forskare vill öka kunskap om diabetesbehandling

Diabetes behandlas i dag med inkretinhormoner för att minska risken för hjärtkärlsjukdomar och andra riskfaktorer sjukdomen kan ge upphov till. I en ny studie har forskare från Lunds universitet sett nya samband mellan hormonerna GIP och GLP-1 och åderförkalkning. Maggie Stephens stiftelse stöttar forskning inom medicin

Elva forskare verksamma vid medicinska fakulteten i Malmö och i Lund får anslag från Maggie Stephens stiftelse på 200 000 kronor vardera. Fakultetens dekan blir rektor - klartecken från regeringen

Regeringen har utsett Medicinska fakultetens dekan Erik Renström till rektor för Lunds universitet 2021 - 2026. Renström är läkare och professor i experimentell endokrinologi med lång akademisk erfarenhet bakom sig. Han har de tre senaste åren varit dekan för Medicinska fakulteten. Nordic Forum 2014 Agreement

Yesterday the Nordic forum 2014 agreement was handed to all the Equality ministers in the Nordic countries and also to the UN Woman Executive Director Phumzile Mlambo-Ngucka.
