Person

I am a doctoral student in English Language and Linguistics at the Centre for Languages and Literature. I hold a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in English linguistics from University of Copenhagen (UCPH). My research interests lie in fields of English educational linguistics and sociolinguistics, and I take a special interest in the pedagogical implications of Global Englishes (English as a Lingua Franca, English as an International Language, and World Englishes) for the structure and design of English language teacher education.

My PhD project explores Swedish pre-service English teachers' language attitudes, ideologies, and awareness of Global Englishes perspectives and theory. The project also explores how the English language is conceptualized in curricular design and teaching in ELTE.
