Introduction Fatigue and altered cognitive capacity are common symptoms following cirrhosis. Patients consider information about cirrhosis difficult to understand. Health literacy levels vary among persons with chronic illnesses, which can hamper participation in and adaptation to treatment, potential restrictions and recommendations.
