Management accounting and control systems following mergers and acquisitions are illustrated and examined in a study comprising two large acquisitions made by Swedish MNEs. A new theoretical framework is developed and applied to analyze the findings, which in turn are also contrasted against the findings from the few previous studies on the subject matter.
