Reform in Sweden. From Confessional Provincialism towards World Ecumenism
The development of reform in Swedish piety during the 'long' nineteenth century coincides with the working period of th 'long' Bible committee, 1773-1917. The nineteenth century was a century of Luther reading, with an ecclesiastical shift, including reforms of ecclesiastical books and changes on many levels from collectivism and institutionalism towards individualism. Popular pious songs were spr

Governmentality
Governmentality, a concept which originates from the work of the French philosopher Michel Foucault, primarily relates to an analytics of power which highlights the artificiality of government. The term refers to a way of understanding the functioning of power as that which emanates from diverse societal institutions rather than one centralized, top‐down source, such as the sovereign state. Parametric analysis of Sierpinski-like fractal patch antenna for compact and dual band WLAN applications
A Sierpinski-like fractal patch antenna with a slant strip in the first iteration is proposed in this article. The parameters of this kind of antenna are analyzed and optimized for dual WLAN application. The added slant strip provides simple probe feeding for compactness and also helps bandwidth enhancement due to multiple modes, which can be evident from current distribution. Measured return loss

Abstract in ItalianThe study presented here is part of a wider context of historical ecology and rural archaeology research projects carried out by the Laboratorio di Archeologia e Storia Ambientale (LASA, Dafist-Distav) of Genoa University. In particular, our contribution is focused on the reconstruction of agricultural practices connected to the historical transformation of breeding systems in t
Calreticulins- Calcium-Binding Proteins with Functional Diversity and Evolutionary Duality
Calreticulin is a multifunctional protein mainly localized in the endoplasmic reticulum in eukaryotic organisms, except yeasts. The protein comprises three distinct regions: the N-terminal N domain, the C-terminal C domain, and the central P domain, reflecting the functional diversity of calreticulin. The protein has been implicated in over 40 intra- and extracellular processes in mammalian cells,
Temporal dynamics of brain and hormone changes during parr-smolt transformation in salmon
This thesis describes a series of studies designed to elucidate brain circuitry changes during parr-smolt transformation (smoltification) in salmon. The studies revealed sequential orderly chemical and structural changes of the brain. The first study showed sequential changes in concentration of mu-and kappa-opiate receptors in select cell groups of the brain during various stages of smoltificatio
The rise of the Swedish food sector after WW II- What, why, how and who?
Very little radical or really new innovation within the food sector in Sweden is visible today, although the stores are jammed with food in a variety of packages, designs and sizes and under different brands. Most products appear to be based on technologies introduced years ago, and the diversification consists mainly of line extensions, i.e. incremental development. It looked different after the

Mi'kmaq Landscapes: From Animism to Sacred Ecology
This book seeks to explore historical changes in the lifeworld of the Mi'kmaq Indians of Eastern Canada. The Mi'kmaq culture hero Kluskap serves as a key persona in discussing issues such as traditions, changing conceptions of land, and human-environmental relations. In order not to depict Mi'kmaq culture as timeless, two important periods in its history are examined. Within the first period, betw
