En policy brief kan vara ett kraftfullt verktyg för forskningen att samverka med beslutsfattandet, nå ut med viktiga forskningsresultat och att bidra till en demokratisering av forskningen. För att policy briefs ska påverka beslutsfattandet behöver budskapet vara tydligt och frågan anses brådskande.
