Welcome to the Centre for Language and Literature!
Here's what you need to do
The introductory meeting is compulsory. If you are unable to attend, you must notify the programme administrator or the study counsellor for your course, so that you are not removed from the course.
You can find out when and where the introductory meeting is taking place on the relevant course webpage. On the course webpage, you will also find the course syllabus, timetable, reading list and other information about the programme. You can find the course webpage by selecting your subject from the list below.
As a student at Lund University, you will be given a student account consisting of a username and password. Your student account gives you access to, amongst other things, the Canvas learning platform, email, wireless networks and the libraries’ online services. If you already have an active student account, you do not need to create a new one.
For some courses, you can enrol directly in Ladok – for others, you will be enrolled during the course’s compulsory introductory session. You will find out what applies to your course in your welcome letter.
If you need to enrol via Ladok, log in using your student account during the enrolment period, which usually opens one week before the course starts. After the course has started, you must contact your programme administrator to be enrolled.
Conditionally admitted
You cannot be registered for the course until your condition has been met.
Read our FAQ to find out what this means. Contact the academic advisor for your course if you have any questions.
Canvas is our digital learning platform that gives you access to course materials and information about lessons, assignments and assessments. On Canvas, you can also communicate with your course peers and lecturers. You normally need to be enrolled on the course to view the Canvas site, and the lecturer must have published it, which may happen quite close to the start of the course.
Students studying on campus at Lund University can collect a personal access card, known as the LU card. You’ll need this to borrow books from all the university’s libraries and to gain access to premises outside opening hours. The card is free and easy to obtain. Please note that the LU card is not a valid form of ID during exams.
Find your course by selecting a subject in the list
Admitted after the course has started?
Find your schedule and go to the next class. You cannot register to the course by yourself, so please ask your administrator to do this. Your student account is created when you are admitted, and an email is sent to you asking you to activate it. It may take a few days after your admission notification before your student account is created. As soon as you have activated your student account and registered for the course, you can see the information in Canvas.
You must be active on the course to retain your place
It is important to us that our participant lists in Ladok are accurate and only include active students on our courses and programmes. If you do not intend to take up your place, we can offer it to students on the waiting list who wish to take the course. If you enrolled but do not show any activity on the course during the first two weeks, you risk being removed from the course.
Are you no longer able or willing to take a course to which you have been admitted?
If you will not be taking the course, it is important that you withdraw as soon as possible, so that the place can be offered to a student on the waiting list. You can withdraw via your account on Antagning.se.
If you have already registered, you should instead withdraw via Ladok:
If you withdraw or suspend your enrolment early (within three weeks of the course start date), you can apply for the course again at a later date.
If you suspend your enrolment on the course more than three weeks after the course start date, you cannot apply for and be admitted to the course again in another term. In that case, you can only re-enrol and attend the course subject to availability.
