Många upplever svårigheter inom utbildning, arbetsliv och socialt liv upp i vuxen ålder, men tidiga insatser verkar kunna bryta denna negativa spiral. Dock saknas tillräckligt med evidens för att säkerställa effekten av de inChildren in the social services' out-of-home care, for example, those living in family homes, often have traumatic experiences and a high prevalence of mental illness. Many have difficulties in education, work and social life into adulthood, but early intervention can potentially break the negative spiral.
