Benefiting from their ordered orientation and superior stability compared to traditional conjugated materials, hydrogen bonding (HB)-induced H-aggregates in organic small molecule hole-transport materials (HTMs) hold a big potential for high-performance inverted perovskite solar cells (IPSCs). However, H-aggregates can also lead to excessive face-aggregation by forming the gaps between aggregates,

The building sector is the single largest consumer of natural resources, accounting for a staggering half of global material use and over a third of energy use and carbon emissions. As a response, the circular transition in the building sector has been focused on strategies such as extracting material from demolished buildings, and design-for-disassembly in new construction projects. Sadly, signif

BACKGROUND: ATOR-1017 (evunzekibart) is a human agonistic immunoglobulin G4 antibody targeting the costimulatory receptor 4-1BB (CD137). ATOR-1017 activates T cells and natural killer cells in the tumor environment, leading to immune-mediated tumor cell death.METHODS: In this first-in-human, multicenter, phase I study, ATOR-1017 was administered intravenously every 21 days as a monotherapy to pati

Objective: Establishing the incidence and types of complications following surgical intervention for ARM, primarily after reconstruction. Patient- and treatment-related risk factors were also determined. Background: Postoperative complications of ARM surgery vary widely, with data predominantly derived from single-center retrospective studies with limited number of patients. Whether factors such a

The demand for more water in the southwestern parts of the United States of America is growing due to an increasing population, while climate conditions are becoming more unfavorable with higher temperatures and less precipitation. This study explores current culinary and secondary water consumptions used for irrigation purposes in the Daybreak neighborhood, located in South Jordan, Utah. Addition

Minnet i en kvantdator lagrar istället kvantbitar, som även de kan ha värdena 1 eThe main aim of this work, was to lay the foundations for the experimental realisation of a quantum mechanical controlled NOT gate in rare-earth-metal-ion-doped crystals. Small amounts of rare-earth elements, added during the growth of some inorganic crystals, will become substituted into the crystal lattice as trivalent ions. The trivalent rare-earth-metal ions between cerium, with atomic number

Background: Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is characterised by progressive brain atrophy, with regional volume loss detectable via MRI prior to clinical manifestation. We aimed to identify the previously unknown sequence of brain atrophy in SCA3 and evaluate whether this sequence can be translated into an atrophy staging framework to enable accurate clinical prognosis and trial enrichment. Apolipoprotein M (apoM) participates in both high-density lipoprotein and cholesterol metabolism. Little is known about how apoM affects lipid composition of the liver and serum. In this study, we systemically investigated the effects of apoM on liver and plasma lipidomes and how apoM participates in lipid cycling, via apoM knockout in mice and the human SMMC-7721 cell line. We used integrated mas

Activating mutations of the PIK3CA gene occur frequently in breast cancer, and inhibitors that are specific for phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) p110α, such as BYL719, are being investigated in clinical trials. In a search for correlates of sensitivity to p110α inhibition among PIK3CA-mutant breast cancer cell lines, we observed that sensitivity to BYL719 (as assessed by cell proliferation) wa

Image segmentation among overlapping land cover areas in satellite images is a very crucial task. Detection of belongingness is the important problem for classifying mixed pixels. This paper proposes an approach for pixel classification using a hybrid approach of Fuzzy C-Means and Cellular automata methods. This new unsupervised method is able to detect clusters using 2-Dimensional Cellular Automa

Androgen ablating drugs increase life expectancy in men with metastatic prostate cancer, but resistance inevitably develops. In a majority of these recurrent tumors, the androgen axis is reactivated in the form of increased androgen receptor (AR) expression. Targeting proteins that are expressed as a down-stream effect of AR activity is a promising rationale for management of this disease. The hum

Natural and synthetic sugars have great potential for developing highly biocompatible and translatable chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST) MRI contrast agents. In this study, we aimed to develop the smallest clinically available form of dextran, Dex1 (molecular weight, MW ~ 1 kDa), as a new CEST agent. We first characterized the CEST properties of Dex1 in vitro at 11.7 T and showed that t

Low-power wearable technologies offer a promising solution to pervasive epilepsy monitoring by removing the constraints concerning time and location, on one hand, and fulfilling long-term tracking, on the other hand. In the case of epileptic seizures, as the attacks infrequently occur, using an anomaly detection approach reduces the need to record long hours of data for each patient before detecti
