We analyse recent experiments on momentum shearing interferometry of electron wave packets^1,2 by using an optical analogy with shearing interferometry for optical waves. The aim of this short paper is to present an ongoing joint research project, Human Factors in Air Navigation Services (HUFA), between the Swedish Civil Aviation Administration and Lund University.
