Resilience in Hostility: The Mental Health and Coping Mechanisms of Transgender Individuals in Georgia
Transgender individuals in Georgia face persistent stigma, violence, and limited institutional protections, yet little is known about how they cope with such hostility and what supports are available to them. Guided by Minority Stress Theory and coping research that distinguishes adaptive from maladaptive strategies, this study explored coping practices, social support, and mental health among tra
Dödlig överdos skedde ofta utan person nära som kunde ingripa : Kunskap om närvaron av vittnen är betydelsefull för hur naloxonprogram bör utformas
Fatal opioid overdoses usually occur without anyone being present and able to intervene. Knowledge of the presence of witnesses is important for how naloxone programs should be designedDrug mortality has increased in Sweden during the 2000s. The vast majority of deaths are opioid overdoses. The National Board of Health and Welfare recommends that the antidote naloxone and a brief overdose educatio

Analysis of air pollution reduction and climate change mitigation in the industry sector of Yangtze River Delta in China
China is now undergoing a fast process of industrialization, with the industry sector playing an important role in the overall economy. Among the many economic areas in China, Yangtze River Delta (YRD) takes the lead. The macro economy development and energy use status quo of both China and YRD are depicted, the past and current situation of air pollution and GHGs emissions is presented, and detai
Temperature and precipitation effects on wheat yield across a European transect : A crop model ensemble analysis using impact response surfaces
This study explored the utility of the impact response surface (IRS) approach for investigating model ensemble crop yield responses under a large range of changes in climate. IRSs of spring and winter wheat Triticum aestivum yields were constructed from a 26-member ensemble of process-based crop simulation models for sites in Finland, Germany and Spain across a latitudinal transect. The sensitivit
Humanists and scholastics in early sixteenth-century Paris : new sources from the Faculty of Theology
Historians often compare the relationship between humanists and scholastics in the early sixteenth century to a battle. In such accounts, the Parisian Faculty of Theology plays the role of a major combatant keeping humanists away from religious studies. This article paints a different and more harmonious picture of humanists and scholastics in the decade before the Reformation. It draws on hithert
The Making of a Philosopher : The Contemplative Letters of Charles de Bovelles
Today the importance of epistolary networks for intellectuals in early modern Europe is well appreciated. Nevertheless, connections reaching outside the canon of celebrated humanists and scientists in the Republic of Letters are little studied. This article examines how Charles de Bovelles (1479-1567) used letters to establish a philosophical persona and publicize his contemplative approach to nat
Search for a resonance decaying into a scalar particle and a Higgs boson in the final state with two bottom quarks and two photons in proton–proton collisions at s = 13 TeV with the ATLAS detector
A search for the resonant production of a heavy scalar X decaying into a Higgs boson and a new lighter scalar S, through the process X → S(→bb¯)H(→γγ), where the two photons are consistent with the Higgs boson decay, is performed. The search is conducted using an integrated luminosity of 140 fb−1 of proton-proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector

BACKGROUND: Several radiological societies in Europe have so far spoken out in favor of MRI of the small intestine over CT, since MRI is said to provide more detailed image information. Due to the limited availability of MRI machines, long waiting times arise for many patients who clinically require small bowel imaging.OBJECTIVES: These circumstances guided our search for an improved CT technique
THE TIES THAT HEAL: SOCIAL SUPPORT AND MENTAL HEALTH AMONG INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS NAVIGATING ACCULTURATION IN SWEDEN
This study investigated the associations between acculturation orientation and perceived social support on mental health outcomes specifically anxiety and depression among international students in Sweden. Grounded in acculturation theory, the research aimed to assess whether different acculturation orientations (assimilation, integration, separation, marginalization) significantly associate with

al-Tirmiḏī’s Kitāb al-Ǧumal : A Comparative Analysis of the Text’s Two Extant Manuscripts
This thesis presents a collation of two extant handwritings of the text Kitāb al-Ǧumal, a mystical treatise by the ninth century Sufi thinker Abū ʿAbd Allah Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī al-Tirmiḏī, also known al-Ḥakīm al-Tirmiḏī. The two handwritings are: (1) a manuscript from the Arabic collection at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France in Paris, comprising two and a half folios of relatively difficult to
Search for a new Z′ gauge boson via the pp →W± (*) →z′μ±ν →μ∓μ μ±ν process in pp collisions at vs =13 TeV with the ATLAS detector
A search for a new Z′ gauge boson predicted by Lµ-Lτ models, based on charged-current Drell-Yan production, pp→W±(∗)→Z′μ±ν→μ±μ μ±ν, is presented. The data sample used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb-1 of proton-proton collisions at s=13 TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The search examines a final state of 3μ plus large missing transverse momentum.
Early initiated noradrenaline versus fluid therapy for hypotension and shock in the emergency department (VASOSHOCK): a protocol for a pragmatic, multi-center, superiority, randomized controlled trial
BackgroundShock is a condition with high mortality even with early intervention and treatment. Usual care for shock and hypotension in the Emergency Department (ED) is intravenous fluid resuscitation which can lead to fluid overload and other complications. When fluid therapy fails or risk of complications are high, the next treatment step is the use of vasopressors for stabilisation. Noradrenalin
Targeted ferroptosis induction enhances chemotherapy efficacy in chemoresistant neuroblastoma
Neuroblastoma (NB) is an aggressive pediatric solid tumor which often develops chemoresistance. Ferroptosis is a potential vulnerability in NB, but its interplay with chemoresistance and standard-of-care chemotherapy is not known. Here, we report that key antioxidant pathways are enriched in refractory NB, and that ferroptosis can be induced in NB through various mechanisms of action (MOA) in vitr
Cemented versus cementless cup fixation in total hip arthroplasty for proximal femoral fractures : analysis of revision and mortality rates from the German arthroplasty registry (EPRD)
BACKGROUND: The management of femoral neck fractures (FNF) in elderly patients depends on comorbidities, pre-fracture mobility, any hip joint disease, and life expectancy, with treatment typically involving either hemiarthroplasty (HA) or total hip arthroplasty (THA). While cemented femoral stem fixation is standard, there is no clear consensus regarding cemented versus cementless cup fixation in
