We study the properties of impersonal null-subjects, in particular in Icelandic, exploring the idea that such elements are constructed in syntax (rather than being lexical pronouns deleted in PF). In addition, we discuss the cross-linguistic distribution of impersonal null-subjects.

The thesis investigates hydrological effects of large-scale water harvesting techniques on local water balances as well as sediment erosion. The techniques of tabias, soil contour ridges and small hill reservoirs are investigated. Pertinent processes are observed and simulated using various hydrological models.

This work treats a specific multi-vehicle control case, namely six vehicles on the Multi-Vehicle Wireless Testbed (MTWT), wich is an arena at Caltech, California, built for doing experiments on small vehicles.
