Ny metod kan ge unik insikt i den mänskliga hjärnans utveckling

Stamcellsforskare vid Lunds universitet har utvecklat en ny forskningsmodell av den tidiga fosterhjärnan. Syftet med modellen är att kunna studera de allra tidigaste stadierna av den mänskliga hjärnan för att förstå hur olika regioner i hjärnan bildas. Med denna nya insikt hoppas forskarna kunna producera nervceller för behandling av olika typer av neurologiska sjukdomar på ett mer effektivt sätt.
