Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur personer som tidigare erhållit socialbidrag beskriver orsakerna till att de inte längre behöver socialbidrag samt hur de upplevde kontakten med socialtjänsten. Målgruppen har varit hushåll som idag klarar sin försörjning utan det behovsprövade socialbidraget. Undersökningsgruppen bestod av 158 hushåll i Jönköpings kommun som under 1997 avslutat sin kontakt
