NanoLund, the centre for research, education and innovation in nanoscience at Lund University, engages over 400 researchers, students and staff at the faculties of engineering, science and medicine. It is a strategic research area funded by the Swedish Government and Sweden’s largest research environment for nanoscience and nanotechnology.

Currently, the focus of the group’s research has been on the relationship between room acoustics and voice use in teachers. This work, supported by AFA insurance, examines the prevalence and aetiology of voice disorders in teachers in Southern Sweden, applying a blend of techniques: questionnaires, high-speed laryngeal imaging, acoustic and perceptual voice analysis, and field studies of voice use
