Culture Clash - An Exploration of Cultural Influences on Furniture

Numerical Simulation of Droplet Generation in Cross-Junction Microchannel under Changing Dispersion Phase Velocities
Micro-droplets with excellent physical properties and size effects are widely used in different fields. Peristaltic pumps are often used for droplet generation. The thrust force of pumps is periodic as a periodic disturbance when the time scale is short enough. Numerical simulation based on a validated model was applied to study the periodic disturbance effects on droplet generation in a cross-jun
Surface sediment diatoms from the western Pacific marginal seas and their correlation to environmental variables
Diatom data of 192 surface sediment samples from the marginal seas in the western Pacific together with modern summer and winter sea surface temperature and salinity data were analyzed. The results of canonical correspondence analysis show that summer sea-surface salinity (SSS) is highly positively correlated with winter SSS and so is summer sea-surface temperature (SST) with winter SST. The corre
Magnetotransport properties of graphene layers decorated with colloid quantum dots
The hybrid graphene-quantum dot devices can potentially be used to tailor the electronic, optical, and chemical properties of graphene. Here, the low temperature electronic transport properties of bilayer graphene decorated with PbS colloid quantum dots (CQDs) have been investigated in the weak or strong magnetic fields. The presence of the CQDs introduces additional scattering potentials that alt

Covid-19, Climate Change Action and the Road to Green Recovery
Can there be a silver lining to a pandemic? Lockdown, a common response to COVID-19 by governments across the world, dramatically changed peoples’ lives by confining their movement to their homes. It thus also changed our transportation and consumption patterns, leading to huge reductions in emissions.1 Images snapped by NASA and the European Space Agency showing clouds of nitrogen dioxide disappe
