I am a senior lecturer in English. I teach primarily literature in Lund but have also taught grammar and phonetics at the teacher training colleges in Malmö and Kristianstad. I have a great interest in pedagogy and part of my duties involve teaching as an educational developer on the compulsory teacher training courses at AHU (The Division for Higher Education Development).

About the research

My dissertation, Narratorial Commentary in the Novels of George Eliot, is a study of narratorial commentary in six of George Eliot's novels. My dissertation shows how Eliot's narratorial commentary dictates the dynamic relationship between narrator and reader and how this relationship develops throughout Eliot’s writing career.

As an educational developer at The Division for Higher Education Develoment, I teach primarily the introductory courses but I also have a specific interest in teaching and learning in international environments. Here, I look at various possibilities for working pedagogically with meeting the possible challenges that multilingual as well as multicultural classroom settings can pose.
