Syftet är att undersöka hur subjektiva faktorer påverkar bedömningen av om Excessive self-defence constitutes a ground for discharge from liability and is regulated in Chapter 24, Section 6 of the Swedish Criminal Code. A person may be discharged from liability where, in a situation of self-defence, they have used manifestly unjustifiable violence and could hardly exercise self-control (Swedish: ”svårligen kunde besinna sig”).
