PhD student in Semitic Languages.
My research focuses on Arabic dialectology, with a particular focus on morphology and syntax in natural speech data from Aleppo, Syria. I am interested in synchronic variations between Aleppine Arabic and neighboring dialectal varieties, and currently work on differences in the use of verbal modifiers and plural agreement patterns. My work is based on historic and newly collected natural speech data in the form of semi-structured interview recordings.
I hold a Master's degree in Linguistics with a specialization in Arabic from the University of Lund and have previously studied Arabic and Political Science.
