Membrane-bound FRET probe visualizes MMP12 activity in pulmonary inflammation
MMP12 is a metalloproteinase implicated in inflammation. To monitor its activity, we synthesized a membrane-targeted reporter (LaRee1) based on Foerster resonance energy transfer (FRET).
