Macroporous poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (pNIPA) gels (so-called cryogels), cross-linked with different bisacryliccompounds, N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide (MBAAm) and dimethacrylate-tyrosine-lysine-tyrosine (DMTLT), were prepared through free-radical polymerization at subzero temperature in dioxane/water media.
