I am an archaeologist and assyriologist specialising in the early history and archaeology of the Middle East (ca. 3,000 - 0 BCE). My education includes advanced degrees in Assyriology from the University of Copenhagen (BA 2009, MA 2012) and a doctorate in Archaeology from the University of Durham (PhD 2017). As of 2025, I am a researcher with Echoes of History(DESCRYPT), a multidisciplinary, research programme involving researchers from Sweden, Oslo, Germany, Spain, and Hungary. The project is funded by the Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation for 2025-32 (grant no. M24-0028).

I am an associate of the Cuneiform Digital Library Initiative(CDLI), the global reference index for cuneiform inscriptions. I am also the Co-PI of the Access to Cuneiform Texts (ACT), a ground-breaking effort to develop an Arabic-language user interface of the CDLI to bring back, through digital means, a critical part of Middle East cultural heritage now spread all over the world.

In the Research Portal you can search and find information about all active researchers, units, publications, projects, infrastructures, and more, to get an overview of Lund University research.
