Senior lecturer of Swedish as a second language, deputy director of Lund University Humanities Lab
I am co-coordinator for the courses in Swedish as a second language for student teachers. I also mostly teach these courses but also teach other courses focusing on language acquisition.
My main research interests are aspects of language acquisition and language teaching, with a particular interest in phonetic-phonological development. I am a researcher in the project "Swedish Embodied Pronunciation Training" (Marcus and Amalia Wallenberg Memorial Foundation, 2023–2027; PI: Gilbert Ambrazaitis, Linnaeus University), which explores the effect of gestures on second-language acquisition of Swedish pronunciation. I also lead the research project "Swedish in Everyday Life – an Intervention in SFI" (Skolforskningsinstitutet, 2026–2028), which investigates how teaching activities can be designed to strengthen SFI students’ opportunities to use Swedish outside the classroom.
