I am professor in Ancient/Byzantine Greek, Latin, and Modern Greek. My primary research areas are translation (between Greek, Arabic, Georgian), rewriting (especially in Byzantine hagiography), and various topics involving language(s) in a literary or historical context (Latin humanitas, imperial languages, etc.).
