Course
Course 7.5 credits • SASH91
What does it really mean to be part of the EU? In this course, you’ll get a clear picture of how European integration has developed. You will explore key events, ideas, and values – from the time after the Second World War to Brexit – and reflect on what it all means today.
During the course, you will explore how European integration has developed since World War II. You’ll learn about both national and supranational identities and values. The focus is on the history of the EU – from the beginnings with the European Coal and Steel Community to the United Kingdom’s withdrawal in 2020. You’ll study this development both chronologically and from a contemporary perspective.
