I am a postdoctoral researcher in General Linguistics at the Centre for Languages and Literature (SOL), Lund University. My current research focuses on multilingual language development, with a particular interest in Arabic–Swedish bilingualism and heritage language development.

I received my PhD in Linguistics from Uppsala University, where my doctoral research examined the language development of Arabic-speaking bilingual children aged 4–7 in Sweden and Lebanon. The study focused on the children's vocabulary and story telling abilities across their respective languages, as well as how different background factors influenced their language development.

More broadly, my research interests include bilingual language acquisition, mother tongue instruction, language attitudes and maintenance, cross-linguistic influence, and the assessment of multilingual children's language abilities.
