I am a PhD student in German literature. My research project concerns the works of contemporary female German-language authors and the literary representation of romantic love in a late capitalist and late modern context.

My BA from Lund University was on the representation of emotion and emotional development in Judith Hermann's novel Alice - an examination of the literary devices used to convey grief. My MA (also from Lund University) was on the contemporarity in three German 21st century short story collections by female authors.

My areas of interest include German-language contemporary literature, Feminist Studies, Love Studies and the modern short story.
