My research interests lie in affective neurolinguistics, which investigates the effect of emotion and mood on language processing. I am currently investigating the role of mood when reading sentences that differ in length, complexity and thus memory demands. In a previous research project, I used EEG to look at the interaction between the reader’s mood and their processing of emotional valence of words. I am part of the network NLS - Neurolinguistics in Sweden.
I teach grammar, linguistic analysis and neurolinguistics in the corresponding courses: ENGA04/ENGE17/ENGH11 English Language: Grammar; ÄEND02 English Language: Linguistic Analysis; ALSM21: General Linguistics: Language and the Brain. I have a background in teaching English as a second language.
I am a doctoral representative in the Research Board and the Board of Third Cycle Studies at the Joint Faculty of Humanities and Theology.
In the Research Portal you can search and find information about all active researchers, units, publications, projects, infrastructures, and more, to get an overview of Lund University research.
