Last year, three Ukrainian researchers published a scientific article that plagiarized large parts of linguist Sara Farshchi's thesis.

Sara Farshchi defended her thesis "Neural and behavioral mechanisms underlying the processing of negated meanings: Words, pictures and sentences" in 2019.

The article, which plagiarizes large parts of her thesis, was presented at a scientific conference and published in a collection volume, published by the international publisher Springer. The publisher has still not retracted the article. Sara Farshchi and her former supervisor Carita Paradis, professor of English linguistics, are now fighting to have the article removed.
