In this bachelor’s thesis I analyse William Shakespeare’s comedic play A Midsummer Night’s Dream from the perspective of gender and sexuality. Through a qualitative content analysis, where I found several relevant themes, I explore how gender and sexuality is constructed by the characters in the play. My focus for exploring this is to see how the characters reproduce and/or deconstruct gender norm
