A model for the temperature and density dependent reemergence of the bark beetle Ips typographus
A model is presented that describes the reemergence of parent spruce bark beetles, Ips typographus, based on breeding density and temperature conditions. Laboratory data obtained at one constant temperature provide the distribution of reemergence time and different combinations of threshold temperatures and degreedays (°D) at mean reemergence. Of these combinations, 167.71 °D above 7.5 °C gave the
Hållbara smarta städer och digitaliseringen av samhället är starkt beroende av sammankopplade system, vilket leder till ett brett utbud av arbetsFuture applications such as the real-time wireless control of autonomous vehicles or collaborating machines (Industry 4.0) will lead to entirely new requirements in terms of reliability and on-time delivery of information. Sustainable smart cities and the digitalisation of society heavily rely on connected systems, leading to a broad range of job opportunities for our graduates. Wireless Communica
Vi beThe course contains lectures aiming a solid theoretical knowledge about the carbon cycle, greenhouse gases and environmental issues. Topics covered are assimilation of carbon in ecosystems via the photosynthesis, discharge of carbon from ecosystems by respiration and decomposition and production of greenhouse gases (e.g. carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and other volatile organic carbon comp

Inclusionary language use = a “mortal danger” ? A qualitative study of the discourse on inclusionary language use in France presented in the newspapers Le Monde and Le Figaro
An issue of inclusionary language use in France has been debated since the 1980’s. Some French actors are in strong opposition to the language policy being changed, others are not. Actors such as linguists-lexicographers, members of the Académie françias, writers and politicians have contributed to the media discussions that are in focus of my research. Applying theoretical perspectives on languag

Mussels in deep water with climate change: Spatial distribution of mussel (Mytilus galloprovincialis) growth offshore in the French Mediterranean with respect to climate change scenario RCP 8.5 Long Term and Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) using Dynamic Energy Budget (DEB) modelling
Victoria Persson Abstract Mussel cultivation is a sustainable type of food production that may help mitigate the nutritional needs of a future world population of 10-12 billion in 2100. The demand for mussels on the French market is increasing but the production is saturated due to a lack of space for expanding the cultivation close to shore. This study looked at offshore possibilities for cult
