Associate Professor (Docent) in English Literature. Senior lecturer in English Literature.
Degrees:
PhD (English Literature), Lund University 1999
Master of Arts in Upper Secondary Education (English/Swedish), Lund University 1987
I teach English literature, academic writing, and English for specific purposes. For many years, I have been involved in course development and development of resources in academic writing, for instance the AWELU platform (2009-2010; 2019-), a MOOC in academic writing in English (2015-2016), and a course book (2020).
My research mainly concerns nineteenth-century literature. My PhD thesis was a genre study on the Victorian governess novel; my postdoc project concerned self-improvement literature; and more recently, I have investigated the Swedish introduction and translation of British social-reform literature. I also collaborate with colleagues on research projects in academic writing and popular romance genres.
