I am a professor of literature education. My research draws on a broad view of fictional texts, with a particular focus on narratives across different media. I investigate how transmedia storytelling functions as a resource in the classroom – a resource that, among other things, fosters engagement with stories, learning about self and others, understanding of societies and cultures, literacy, language proficiency, as well as reading and writing skills.

I apply my research in literary studies and literature education courses within teacher training programs, as well as courses in children’s and young adult literature. I supervise students at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels.

Literature education in research and practice is my main area of expertise, and I coordinate the Literature Education Network (LDN) – a network that aims to highlight and strengthen literature education in schools, academia, and society. Link to the network’s webpage: https://www.sol.lu.se/ldn

In the Research Portal you can search and find information about all active researchers, units, publications, projects, infrastructures, and more, to get an overview of Lund University research.
