Doctoral student in Semitic Languages at Lund University with a background in Political Science, Arabic and Linguistics.

I am interested in Levantine Arabic dialects and my research currently focuses on the dialectal varieties spoken in Aleppo, Syria. My research is primarily based on natural speech data, collected in the form of semi-structured interviews that are used for both synchronic and dianchronic analyses, typically of syntactic phenomena. I try to collect data that is of relevance beyond Arabic dialectology for fields such as Oral History and cultural studies.
