Teaching – autumn semester of 2021
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect our courses and programmes. Teaching and assessment during the first half of the autumn semester 2021 will be conducted both online and on campus. From 1 November more elements will be conducted on campus – the current schedule is available on course websites and/or in Canvas.
This course introduces the linguistic student to research methods and methodological issues, and prepares the student for writing an essay on B.A. level. The course includes methodological issues such as formulating research questions, the difference between quantitative and qualitative methods, inductive and deductive methods, and ethical questions. During the course, you will practice some common linguistic methods for collecting and analyzing data. The focus of the course lies on describing and motivating methodological choices.
