International Symposium on Speech Processing

30 maj 2024 13:00 till 19:00 Konferens

The latest developments in auditory and neurobiological aspects of speech perception will be explored and discussed during this one-day event which gathers together young and advanced researchers, students and professors.

Speech processing comprises how we perceive the sounds that make up spoken language, how we comprehend the meaning, and how we respond to it verbally. With the recent advancements of neuroimaging techniques, the field of speech processing has taken a turn towards broader cognitive science and has growing implications for scientific and societal development. This international symposium will bring prominent scholars from different language and neuroscience labs to one place for exchange of most recent findings. The brain mechanisms of speech processing will be discussed in an interdisciplinary group, providing fresh perspectives.
