Cochlear implantation is a very important way to support patients with hearing loss or severe disability of hearing. Cochlear implant is a surgically implanted eletronic medical device designed to restore sensorineural hearing loss. Auditory and language development in children with cochlear implants could depend on several factors. This lecture aims to give an overwiew of these features and their impact on receptive and expressive language development.
