I hold a Ph.D in general linguistics, and I am now an affiliated researcher. I have a range of research interests, broadly speaking on second language acquisition, language didactics, language policy in relation to language learning and teaching, language itself in relation to culture, corpora in language teaching and learning besides internationalization of higher education.

My research project focuses on teaching and learning a second language in classroom settings, specifically a comparative study of English in Sweden and Vietnam.
